One of the most popular excursions available from Victoria Falls is a day trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana. Plenty of tour companies offer this all-inclusive service of round-trip pickup/dropoff  in Victoria Falls,  drive to Botswana border where they hand it over to their contracted Botswana tour company that transport you round-trip to Chobe National Park. The game drives occur in 2 parts, one in a vehicle on land and then on boat. Between the 2 we stopped at a resort for lunch. We paid 170$ USD per person for the entire package (which included Park entrance fees).

The trip started quite early at around 6:30 AM pickup from our hotel followed by 1.5 hr drive (80km) to Kazungula Border between Zimbabwe and Botswana. Our driver handed us over to the Botswana tour company after we got our passport stamped at the border. Then its only a 20 minute drive to Chobe National Park entrance.

After entering the park we got to see quite a variety of animals.

Right after entering Chobe we saw a giraffe
And a Kudu
Marsh ripe for game viewing

After driving for 15 minutes our vehicle came by a marsh land where the highlight of our trip was to follow.

Another lioness joined them soon (not in this picture)

After tracking the pride of lionesses for over 1 hour we decided to move on.

Short break before heading back to resort for lunch

For lunch, our tour company drove us to Cresta Mowana Resort & Spa.

Warthogs on resort ground

The lunch buffet was quite extensive and I enjoyed most of the items.

After lunch, it was time for boat safari.

After about 3 hours of boat ride for the game drive, we arrived back at the dock. From there it was the drive back to Victoria Falls after clearing immigration at Botswana border. We arrived back in Victoria falls around 5 PM.
