Amman Marriott Hotel
Issam Al-Ajlouni St., Amman, Jordan
Amman Marriott Hotel is a Category 3 Marriott property located in downtown Amman and about 36 km from Queen Alia International Airport. A night at this hotel costs 15,000 Marriott points (off-peak). We arrived late at night and after a thorough security check at the entrance we were checked in pretty quickly. We even got upgraded to Executive floor (even though it did not matter as we were staying for only 1 night and I had already booked a breakfast rate).
My parents decided to call it a night while me and Karen went to the in-house restaurant Champions Tavern for dinner. We ordered some Nachos and Buffalo Wings. Service was a bit slow but the food was very tasty.
I had booked breakfast rate for this hotel and we had breakfast at the Villa Mediterrano restaurant. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and one of the most elaborate breakfast buffet we have had.
The staff at the restaurant were very nice, friendly and generous. They even gave a take out box to all the guests at the restaurant (including us) even though its a buffet !!
Thumbs up:
- Great recognition of Elite status and upgrading to Executive floor
- Huge Breakfast Buffet at Villa Mediterrano Restaurant
Thumbs down:
- Even though Category 3, not a good value of Marriott points and better to pay cash rate
- Did not see many dining options nearby (walking distance) other than in-property restaurants
