Le Méridien Angkor is an SPG category 2 hotel, located about 20 km from Siem Reap International Airport. This is the only Starwood property in Siem Reap and it costs only 4,000 SPG points per night. The hotel provides paid airport transfer however its a bit more expensive than the airport taxi which are plentiful and very easy and convenient to get.
Check-in was quick and very efficient. We were given cold towels and a juice on arrival and the Assistant Front Office Manager showed up personally to welcome us. She even inquired about our stay whenever she would see us in the lobby so the hotel definitely shines when it comes to customer service.
The bed was very comfortable and I had a good night sleep throughout our stay there.
The hotel replenished 4 bottles of complimentary water each day which was appreciated considering how hot and humid it was out there.
The hotel offers 15% off of all dining in the restaurants on premises for SPG Gold members and it was a good enough incentive to try out Angkor Royal Cafe for a couple of meals.

- Only a Category 2 SPG property so a great value for SPG points (4,000 points per night)

- Not too many dining options (other than the hotel) within walking distance and tuk-tuk/private car is needed to get anywhere
