Flight: EVA Air BR67 from Taipei to Bangkok
Duration: 3 hours 45 minutes
Aircraft: B773(Boeing 777-300ER)
Class: Business (Royal Laurel Class)
Seat: 2K (Window)
Seat Specification: True Flat Bed, Seat pitch: 81.0 “. Seat width: 26 ”
EVA Air operates both Royal Laurel Class (on B77W aircraft) as well as Premium Laurel Class (on A332 aircraft) on this route. My husband planned my itinerary so that I would be able to fly the 77W with Royal Laurel Class (with Flat bed seats) instead of Premium Laurel (with angled flat seats).
The Royal Laurel class consists of 38 Flat bed seats with 1-2-1 configuration just like the Los Angeles – Taipei route. For more pictures of the cabin, here is my husband’s Los Angeles – Taipei trip report on Royal Laurel Class.
The goose liver mousse was yucky. Its probably me as I am not a fan of pate.
The beef fillet was really rare and I ended up eating around the edges of it.
The chocolate raspberry mousse made up for some of the disappointment from the previous courses.
After lunch I laid out the seat in bed mode and watched a movie.
Bottomline:
Seat: *****
Service: ***
Food: ** 1/2
I really enjoyed the seat on this EVA Air flight just like the other one from Los Angeles – Taipei on Royal Laurel. For such a short (less than 4 hour) flight, the seat is probably an overkill and even an angled flat seat would have been OK. The service was standard. However, unlike my previous flight, I was really disappointed in the catering on this flight.
