Day 1:

We started early in the morning from Port Blair to travel to Havelock Island on Makruzz Ferry. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and the ocean was not choppy so went by pretty quickly.

I had already arranged private transport so the driver was waiting for us at the Havelock Ferry terminal and drove us to our resort (Tilar Siro Andamans, CGH Earth) where we were staying for 2 nights.

We arrived around 10 AM and spent a couple of hours walking along the resort’s private beach.

In the afternoon we had our driver take us to Radhanagar Beach. This is the most famous beach in the Andaman Islands and it has been voted a few times in various magazines or travel websites as one of the “Top 10 Beaches in the World”. This beach is located on the western part of the island.

After spending a couple of hours and watching the sunset at Radhangar Beach we came back to the resort. Later that evening we had dinner at the “Something Different – Beach Cafe“. The restaurant provides pick-up/drop-off service and we liked the food so much we ended up having dinner there next day also.

Day 2:

Woke up early in the morning to see the sunrise from the hotel beach.

After breakfast we drove to Kalapathar beach (“Black rock” beach). I found this beach to be the most beautiful and my favorite in all of Andamans. It was lined with trees along the length of the beach and was less crowded than Radhanagar beach.

After spending about 3 hours relaxing at the beach, we came back to the hotel and spent the rest of the afternoon at the resort.
