MilesPointsTravel Disclaimer: This review is solely the work of Karen. I personally did not fly this segment.

I was supposed to fly ICN – LAS segment on a Boeing 777-300 with 2 x 2 x 2 seats with the Apex Suite but there was a last minute equipment swap and ended up on a 2 x 3 x 2 configuration. This configuration is my least favorite as the seats have wedges when converted to bed and makes sleep difficult on long-haul flights.

My Seat – 15A
Korean Air ICN – LAS Business Class Dinner Menu
Korean Air ICN – LAS Business Class Breakfast Menu
Appetizers: Mini Tartlet with Shrimp Salad (Left), Marinated Scallop with Eggplant and Tomato (Right)

The shrimp on the tartlet was frozen and inedible. The scallop and eggplant on the other hand were tasty.

Dinner Entrée – Stir fry Chicken Thigh on black pepper sauce served with Chinese noodles and vegetables

The stir fry chicken thigh was surprisingly good. I am not a chicken thigh person and neither do I care much for noodles but wanted to try something different.

Dessert – Haagen Dazs Ice-cream
My seat converted to bed

After dinner I converted the seat to bed. Even though Korean Air and Seatguru mark these seats as lie-flat, the picture clearly shows the wedges and it does not make for a long good night sleep, especially for people who lie on their back.

Korean Air Business Class Breakfast (I only ordered fruit plate as was full from night before)

I opted for the continental breakfast since the other choices were not appetizing to me (hate mushroom, sausages and bulgogi beef).

Bottomline:

Seat: **1/2

Service: ***

Food: ***

Even though this exact seat would get higher rating for a 4-6 hour flight, for this 10.5 hour flight it falls quite short. Long haul business class has moved to 1 x 2 x 1 at a minimum, and not having direct aisle access for all seats is very dated.

Food overall was mixed, I loved the dinner entree but rest was not so good.
