Day 1 (Day 3 of Trip):

We drove from our hotel (DoubleTree by Hilton Seychelles – Allamanda Resort and Spa) to the Cat Coco Ferry Terminal for our ferry to Praslin Island. The ferry takes about 1 hr 30 mins from Mahe to Praslin. I had heard that the seas are rough starting June and so we had already applied a motion sickness patch about an hour before leaving for the terminal.

After arriving at the ferry terminal, we picked up our rental car (Capricorn Car Rental) and drove to the resort (Le Deuc de Praslin) where we were staying for next 3 nights.

After checking-in at the hotel, we walked down to Cote d’Or beach where Cafe Des Arts is located, for lunch.

Cote d’Or Beach

It is a very beautiful, calm beach and very swimmable especially for families.

However, by the time we were ready to go swimming, high tide was in full swing by late afternoon and we had to quickly leave the water after we saw 2 stingrays right by the shore 5 minutes apart. The water gets very muddy due to very fine sand and hard to see anything at the bottom.

Day 2:

After breakfast at the hotel we again went to Cote d’Or Beach. It was low tide in the morning and we stayed in shallow water for a couple of hours. The water is very warm and enjoyable in Seychelles during this time of the year.

Cote d’Or Beach

Next we drove from the resort to the northern tip of the island to Constance Lemuria Resort. We passed by the Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve

Driving across Praslin Island and Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve

There are multiple ways to get to Anse Georgette Beach. Some people take a boat and get dropped off at the beach (very expensive), others hike from Anse Lazio to Anse Georgette (very tiresome and hard). Easiest way is to drive to Constance Lemuria Resort and do a 30 minute walk along the golf course to the beach. However, one needs to call the resort and book a slot (if not a guest at the resort) and because its on a limited basis, one needs to call a few days earlier to book.

The waves were very strong and some could throw you a few feet if you were not careful. However, it was a blast getting in the water and we had lots of fun here.

After spending a couple of hours at the beach, we walked back along the golf course to the parking lot and drove back to hotel.

Day 3:

After breakfast at the hotel, we drove to Anse Lazio, located at the northern tip of Praslin Island.

One of the best features of this beach is plenty of available shade. The water temperature was perfect and we loved being in the water here.

Although our hotel was next door to Cote d’Or beach, it was much more enjoyable to swim here on Anse Lazio.

After spending about 3 hours at Anse Lazio we drove back to hotel. On the way back, we stopped by Anse Boudin to take some pictures and picked up some snacks at a small shop nearby.
