My all time favorite business class product so far are the Qatar Airways Qsuites. I have experienced them once previously on a Boeing 773 from Doha to JFK in 2018 at the end of our South Africa Trip. This time I was flying Doha to Los Angeles on the latest Qatar Airways A350-1000 Qsuites. There are 46 closed suites on this aircraft with a main forward cabin and only 2 rows of suites in a rear business cabin.
Last time when I traveled on Qsuites with my wife so we chose the middle suites where you can remove the divider and have a double bed. This time being alone, I chose suite 5A by the windows.
I was a bit under the weather returning from India and opted out of alcohol and just went with a pineapple-mango mocktail for pre-takeoff beverage service.
Qatar Airways offers on-demand, a la carte menu so you can basically eat “whatever you want, whenever you want”. After takeoff I opted for the veal chop with jus accompanied by potation/green onion mash. The veal was not the best this time around but potato mash struck it out of the park. Really good!!
After closing the doors, I watched a movie for a couple of hours and fell asleep for about 6 hours.
After waking up, decided to have Shakshouka for breakfast. This was the first time I was trying it out and was really tasty. This really made up for the disappointment with the veal chop earlier.
I’ve had grilled Haloumi cheese many times before but the one they served with the Shakshouka was the best ever. I went back to sleep for a few more hours and woke up about an hour before landing at Los Angeles.
Bottomline:
Seat: *****
Service: ****
Food: ****
It doesn’t get better than Qsuites, my favorite business class product ever!! The seat is very comfortable, long, with good support and when laid in bed mode very comfortable to sleep in. The icing on the cake is the closed suite.
Service was quite good on this flight. My flight attendant was courteous and prompt and very helpful throughout the flight.
I really enjoyed the Shakshouka (my first time trying this delicacy) while was tad underwhelmed with the veal chop with jus.
