Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort

Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is a Category 3 SPG property located right on the very popular Kuta Beach and only 3.5 miles from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. The hotel is actually located across the street from Kuta Beach. An SPG free night at this resort costs only 7000 SPG points and Cash + Points rewards go for 3500 SPG points + $ 55 USD per night. We used the latter option when we stayed at this resort.
As soon as we arrived at the resort, after entering through a metal-detector right at the entrance, we were greeted by two Balinese dancers in traditional dress. After that we made our way to the first floor where the guest services is located. We had booked two rooms and both of them were upgraded from Deluxe to Deluxe ocean rooms (with balcony but no ocean-view and actually overlooking the driveway). We were also given a voucher for 4 for a wine tasting event for the same day (which we ended up missing because of sight-seeing) and also a voucher for 2 for welcome drinks at the bar.
The room was fairly decent sized and I really liked the balcony.
The bed was very comfortable for sleep.
We arrived at the The Lounge bar in the evening to redeem our drink vouchers. After going over the drink menu, we settled on amazingly delicious cocktail with vodka, guava and some other tropical fruits.
The property has 2 main restaurants – Bene & The Feast. After finding out that both the restaurants give 30% discount for SPG members, we settled on The Feast for our dinner. Karen and Mom got the Shrimp Poboy sandwich, Dad got some noodles with chicken and I went with some seabass and rice with vegetables. All of us really enjoyed our meals.
Next morning we went to the Feast again for our breakfast. We didn’t opt for the breakfast buffet but rather ordered à la carte.

- Excellent location being just across the street from Kuta Beach. Lots of dining & nightlife options nearby.
- SPG members get 30% off at two on-property restaurants so it opens up some more dining options.
- Very responsive front desk. The very next day after our stay, we were going to the Courtyard Bali Nusa Dua and it being Karen’s birthday, our front desk agent took the initiative to call the Courtyard to arrange a birthday cake for us. I really appreciated the eagerness and sincerity of our front desk agent.
